Layered pasta rice is one of the most favored of recent trending foods in the world. It is enjoyed by millions every day. It is simple, it is fast, it tastes yummy. Layered pasta rice is something which I have loved my entire life. They’re fine and they look fantastic.
To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook layered pasta rice using 29 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.
The ingredients needed to make Layered pasta rice:
- For spinach layer:-
- 200 g spinach
- 5-6 garlic cloves
- 1-2 small piece of ginger
- 3-4 green chillies
- 1 tablespoon oil or butter
- 1 finely chopped onion
- to taste Salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- For rice layer:-
- 1/2 cup basmati rice (uncooked)
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon oil
- For red pasta layer:-
- 1 cup raw macaroni or any shape pasta
- 3-4 teaspoon oil
- 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Other ingredients:-
- 1/2 cup grated processed cheese
- 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
Steps to make Layered pasta rice:
- Wash spinach leaves. Blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes. Strain water from it, keep in chilled water for 5 minutes. Then blend along with green chillies, ginger and garlic cloves and make puree.
- In a pan heat oil or butter. Add chopped onion and saute for sometimes. Add prepared spinach puree. Add salt and milk. Cook for#-3 minutes.
- Wash and soak rice in water for 15-20 minutes. In a pan boil enough water. Add soaked rice and cook till almost cooked. Strain water from it. Add salt and oil into and mix well. Keep aside.
- Boil pasta with little salt and oil in enough water. Strain water from it.
- In a pan heat oil. Add crushed garlic and chopped onion. Saute till onion turns translucent. Add tomato puree and saute till oil seperates. Add red chili powder, chilli flakes, oregano, black pepper powder, sugar and tomato ketchup. Mix well.
- Add boiled paste and salt. Combine all ingredients well. Cook for couple of minutes.
- Assembling:- In a greased baking bowl first spread prepared spinach layer at bottom. Spread cooked rice on it. Then do third layer by spreading prepared red pasta.
- Apply grated processed cheese and mozzarella cheese on top. Put into preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes at 180°C. Enjoy.
