- Layer the ingredients in the pot in this order: bean sprouts, chives, pork, tofu, and shiitake mushrooms. Finally, place the ginger on top. If you're using an earthenware pot for one person, the ingredients will look like they're piled on high, but don't worry about it.
- Cover with the lid and simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes. After the ingredients reduce in volume, cook over high heat until everything is cooked through. It's done.
