  5. Cut butter into potatoes and continue mashing until butter has melted and combined
  6. Pour in milk and mix with masher
  7. Use hand mixer to blend potatoes smooth
  8. Add Sour Cream and Chives and mix with hand mixer
  9. Add Salt, Pepper and Garlic Powder and mix with hand mixer
  10. Transfer contents to large casserole dish
  11. Chop bacon slices and top potatoes with Cheese then bacon
  12. Bake casserole at 350 for 15-20 minutes
  13. Allow to cool before serving
