The ingredients needed to make Chicken Biryani:
  1. 1 kg Chicken (murgi)
  2. 1 kg Rice (chawal)
  3. Onion (pyaz) 2 medium size

  5. 1 tbsp Crushed ginger (kuta adrak)
  6. Yogurt (dahi) : half cup
  7. 1/2 packet Biryani Mix (included plums)
  8. 1 tsp White Cumin (safiad zeera)
  9. 2 tbsps Red Chilli Powder (laal mirch powder)
  10. 2 tbsps Lemon juice (lemu ka ras)
  11. Chopped Mint Leaves : as required
  12. Salt (namak) : 2 + 4 + 2 tsps
  13. 1 cup Cooking Oil
  14. Coriander powder (dhanya powder) : 2 tsps

  16. 15-20 Chopped green chillies (kati hari mirchyn)
  17. Whole red chillies: few
  18. 1 cup Tamarind water (imli ka pani)
  19. All spices whole : as required
  20. 5-6 Aloo bukhary
  21. Water (pani) : to boil rice
  22. 2 tbsps White Vinegar (safaid sirka)
  23. Chopped Tomatoes (tamatar) : 2 large
  24. 1 tsp Turmeric powder (haldi powder)
  25. 2 tbsps Red chilli flakes
  26. Chopped fresh coriander (kata taza dhanya) : as required
  27. Few lemon slices (lemu ke kashyn)
Instructions to make Chicken Biryani:
  1. Take pan ; add oil, chopped Onions (pyaz) and golden brown it
  2. Add chicken (murgi) ; salt (namak) 2 tsps and let it light brown
  3. Add crushed ginger and garlic (adrak aur lehsan) ; cook for few more minutes
  4. Add Coriander powder (dhanya powder), red chilli powder (laal mirch powder), All spices powder (pisa garam masala), biryani mix, salt (namak) 4 tsps, Chopped green chillies (kati hari mirchyn), tamarind water (imli ka pani), turmeric powder (haldi powder), roasted cumin seeds (bhuna zeera), yogurt (dahi), lemon juice (lemu ka ras), chopped tomatoes (katy tamatar)
  5. Mix and cook until it softens ; cover with lid
  6. Add red chillies flakes and whole red chillies; Uncover and cook until oil separates on med - high flame
  7. Soak rice well (I took kainat rice) for at least 1 hour and Wash rice well
  8. Boil rice with all spices whole (sabat garam), vinegar (sirka), salt (namak) 2 tsps ; Once done 75% ; drain them in colander and keep them aside.
  9. Grease another pan and
  10. Give layers of chicken masala and boiled rice ; add chopped coriander and mint leaves and lemon slices
  11. Cover and leave it for 15 mins on medium flame (darmiyani aag pe daam dyn)
  12. Uncover and mix - -Dish Out
