Shepherd's pie is one of the most popular of current trending foods in the world. It is enjoyed by millions every day. It is easy, it’s quick, it tastes delicious. They’re nice and they look wonderful. Shepherd's pie is something which I have loved my whole life.

The ingredients needed to make Shepherd's pie:
  1. 1cksp sunflower/vegetable  oil
  2. 1 large onion
  3. 2-3 carrots
  4. 1 Green/yellow bell peppers
  5. 500 g pack lamb/beef mince
  6. 1cksp tomato purée
  7. 100g potato,cut into chunks
  8. 2tbsp butter
  9. 1/2cup milk
  10. 100g Cheese(Parmesan or mozzarella)
Steps to make Shepherd's pie:
  1. Heat the oil in a pan, then soften the onion, peppers and carrots for a few mins. When soft, turn up the heat, crumble in the lamb/meat and brown, tipping off any excess fat. Add the tomato purée, season to taste then cover and cook.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the oven to 160C/ gas, then make the mash. Boil the potatoes in salted water for 10-15 mins until tender. Drain, then mash with the butter, cheese and milk.
  3. Put the mince sauce into an ovenproof dish, top with the mash and ruffle with a fork. Bake for 20-25 mins until the top is starting to colour and the mince is bubbling through at the edges. Sprinkle cheese on top. Leave to stand for 5 mins before serving.
