- Pre-heat the oven to Gas Mark 6 or electric equivalent (Circotherm 170C).
- Empty the condensed soup into a bowl, add the chicken and mix together.
- Lightly grease a pie dish with butter. Divide the pastry 2/3:1/3 and dust work surface with flour.
- Roll out the larger piece of pastry and line the pie dish. Fill with the chicken mix.
- Roll out the smaller piece of pastry and cover the pie, sealing the edges. Make three small slots in pastry lid to allow steam to escape.
- Cook pie in pre-heated oven for 40-45 minutes.
- TIP: if you’ve any pastry trimmings surplus, use them to make a jam pasty/tart or two in the same oven. #WastenotWantnot
